Drinks by the habour....

It's a cold full moon night tonight.... having some drinks at the harbour was just what we needed to do. Had a great time....just chatting, drinking and having some snacks.

Mid-Autumn Night Dinner..

Last night, every Huawei employee in the world gets to eat Mooncakes and ENJOY dinner together... Eat, DRINK and be merry! In New Zealand office, we had ours in the HP8 Chinese Restaurant... very very typical chinese dishes, they actually ordered PIG'S EARS!!! The fish wasn't bad though.. served in the biggest bowl i've ever seen before... don't let the photo fool ya! It filled up the whole 'lazy susan'. Plenty of fish to go around... That wasn't all, if i was not mistaken, there were around 15 dishes!!!! WHAT a NIGHT!

Rainy days in Auckland.

It rained cats and dogs today! It's the heaviest pour i've seen here... lightning and thunder too.. but at the end of it all, this appeared before us. Just right outside our office window. Can almost see two rainbows there...if you look closely enogh...

That's my weekend, how was your's?

Toon decided to cook my faviourite tonight! Thai Green Curry Chicken! and also Mak's minced pork egg. OMG, it was so spicy...haaaa. *sweat* That's two nights in a row! Can you see my sweats? cooled off with a glass of Southern NZ wine and some banana, kiwi and ice creams.. Chor Tai Teed till 9pm and headed back home...

We are on our way to shopping center which is about 40 minutes bus ride away... they have several factory outlets and brands like nike, adidas, espirit etc etc.. nothing interesting. Rained as soon as we got on the bus.. for the whole DAY!

SZECHUAN chinese restaurant...

Bloody SPICY szechuan food! my mouth dropped to the and my tongue sticking out..... haaaaaaa. *sweat sweat* LOOK at the amount of food on the table.. it's buffet style, explains everything right? Ate like we've haven't eaten in days... so hungry!

Alright! I've soaked my feet in the SOUTH PACIFIC OCEAN! NOW to pee in it.... i think i'll pass, it's too cold....And looked what i've found! little footprints on the sand! Man, how old am I?

Wha.. what are those frantically paddling towards me? HAA... little ducklings! Adorable little creatures they are... funnny how seem to float on the water... like little sponges which reminds me... Adopt a duck! quack quack.. quack quack!

Just one word...PICTURESQUE! What else do you need. Beautiful weather and a chance to play FOOTBALL! I'll talk about the beach later... Endless fields filled with trees and flowers and everyting to do with nature :)

FOOTBALL!!!

Forget what i said just now! Ran Dong and other CAPs invited me to play FOOTBALL! Finally, haven't touched a ball for ages. We went to Domain Park which is about 10 mins drive from D'nasty apt. We played for 5 mins and haha, KO-ed for 15 mins. Man, I REALLY MISS playing football.. :) Played in the park and then went to the beach (20 mins drive just out of the city) to play some more!

Saturday morning....

Woke up kinda early. It's a beautiful sun shining day outside. Feeling like going for a walk in the city and to the harbour again... let's see what's happening! Later guys, have a good one k!

"Man, is this guy down there working or for vacation??... Hey you guys, this are the photo of the customer's office. On the right is the switching room which the 'subbies' are working hard installing the cable ladders before the equipment comes in... well well, what do you know, they've ran out of cable ladders... there goes another few days...I'm sure there are other things to do. I'll have to give them some equipment installation training before they start next wednesday :)

Well, this is it.. the last remaining movie set left behind from the movie... a total of 17 hobbit houses left from the 32 that was built... At the end of it all, a rainbow appeared before us... it was the cherry on top of the icing :) the perfect ending the road trip. :)

Sunday ROAD TRIP!!!!

PART 1: Farm tour. Hey, I remember you sheep.. i met you during my trip to Perth with my mom about 10 years back :) hahaa. This is in Alexander's farm here in Matamata.. about 200km south of Auckland.

Dinner with fellow Malaysians + a Thai girl..

We had 'BAK KUT TEH' for dinner... Toon (Yap's girlfriend) was really a good cook. All technical guys except for a marketing guy sitting on my right. Had some white wine and 'lepak' till the rain stopped. Took me about 15 minutes walk to get back my apartment..slept well that saturday night...

Hi guys! So, I'm 4 days late writing the blog... my apologies. I had no internet access. Yup, that’s the reason I'm using for now. Well, it's time to catch up...Let's start with the weekend holidays and not talk about work...Wish I could add more photos for you guys, unfortunately, I'll have to choose the best 2 to attach every post...This was taken on Saturday. Well exploring the city by myself from the northern to the eastern side of the city. Had me sandwitch lunch at ' Subway' with the view of the harbour! Beautiful day today...hmmm

Dinner with Mom...

Went for dinner with me mom at The Manhattan Fish Market in Sunway Piramid where she accompanied me to buy a pair of pants which matches my graduation blazer... MAN, it difficult to find a pair of pants with the same colour and material as my 5 year old blazer. Finally settled for a Polo pants. Ok mom, see you next month! Luv u...and dont worry, i'll be good :)

Close friends gathering...

Adrian was so kind to treat us all dinner to celebrate his promotion :) The Seafood Restaurant 'Meng Keng Fatt' just off Jalan Ampang was 'crazily' expensive! Chatting and laughing our heads off! It's really NICE to see everyone again..

"PERSONA" added to my list!

After filling our stomach, Robin and i decided to go for a test drive. PERSONA! Looks not all that bad actually, except for the funny 'chrome' thingy on the back! Well, i for one, could actually feel some significant changes for the better, better noise insulation... Although, some difficulty opening the boot cause of some design flaws and all.. also, the back seat doesn't really cover the door exposing some of the metallic parts.. besides these two minor stuffs, i would say this car could be a potential buy... :) But i'm still considering vios or civic.. NEVER city!

"STEAMED HOR FUN"

This place sells 'STEAMED HOR FUN' which looks REALLY good. Haven't gotten the chance to try 'em cause the other patrons seem to be waiting very long for them.. anyone interested? We'll go one day k. Only i know where it is.. me and my ex-colleague Robin Wong. We actually woke up early this Sunday morning to look for some b'fast.. stumbled upon this place in Section ??. HAHA...

In the papers AGAIN!

The Edge - 27th August 2007, To my suprise, my ex-company used my photo again for their 'GOTA' advertisement... hmmm, i think this time, i'll ask them for some 'dough' cause i'm no longer an employee of Electcoms. I need to seek some lawyer's advice.. what do you guys think?

Waiter!Gimme... gimme 'Whatever' and my friend will have 'Anything' ! Came all the way form Singapore, my sis brought these can drinks back.. 'Anything 'is carbonated and the 'Whatever' is not... about the flavor, it's a suprise.. pretty interesting huh... for one of those days :)

Back in KL, next destination?

Oh wow the traffic was TERRIBLE today.. took me more than an hour to reach office. Well, at least the sun was shinning. I've been back for more than a week now and was recently informed that i will be going down to NEW ZEALAND!!! to support the project there... I'm thinking that I'll need to get a bigger luggage bag. The one that can fit 2 MONTHS worth of clothes...that's how long i will be there. At least planned to be there... got to get my arse back by November the 3rd for my sister's wedding...
